How this site earns money.

The short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the brand may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it funds the free guides and tools on this site.
What an affiliate link is
When we recommend a product, we sometimes link to the brand’s website with a special tracking code. If you purchase through that link within the brand’s cookie window, the brand pays us a commission. Our live and pending programs:
- Cold Pod (direct affiliate — live): 10% commission per sale, 14-day cookie, payouts via PayPal on the 1st and 15th of each month.
- Sweaty Yeti (affiliate, approved): $1,500 flat per sauna sold through our unique link — same payout regardless of model — 30-day cookie, paid monthly after the order completes and passes the refund period. Our tracking link isn’t live yet; current Sweaty Yeti buttons go to the official product pages untracked, and each one says so next to the button.
- Clearlight (via Awin — membership active): our Awin tracking link format is pending; current Clearlight buttons go to the official product pages untracked, and each one says so next to the button.
How this affects our recommendations (it doesn’t)
Our editorial policy:
- Commissions never buy rankings. A higher payout does not move a product up our lists. We rank by observed price, published warranty, support & installation, use-case fit, and ownership reality.
- We name the trade-offs. Every product page includes a “where it falls short” section, including for our highest-commission products.
- We say when a link isn’t tracked. If our affiliate link for a brand isn’t live yet, the button says so — we never present an untracked link as a tracked one.
- Prices are checked, not promised. Prices change constantly. Figures on this site are dated September 2026; always confirm the current price on the brand’s site before buying.
FTC compliance
This disclosure follows the FTC’s Endorsement Guides (revised, effective July 1, 2026), which require that any material connection between an endorser and an advertiser be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. That’s why every monetized button on this site carries its own short disclosure immediately next to it — before you click, not buried in a footer.
